Here at Sunshine, we are pleased to offer personalized support for hundreds of individuals in Northwest Ohio who have intellectual or developmental disabilities. However, we cannot achieve our goals without the help of our dedicated team members. If you have a passion for serving the community, we’d like to talk to you about making a difference with a fulfilling career at Sunshine. We have roles ranging from teaching life skills to medical care and support staff, and we can head you in the right direction if you're willing and able.
What We Do Here at Sunshine
In addition to advocating for community members, we offer a wide range of support services. Direct Support Professionals at Sunshine support individuals at Sunshine homes in Wood, Fulton, and Lucas counties and the surrounding areas. These compassionate providers are our front runners that bring about opportunities for people in vocational, recreational and therapeutic programs and services to the community. Our administrative staff work at our Maumee Campus taking care of paperwork, records, and managing overall services that allow Sunshine to operate smoothly and efficiently.
There’s a Role for You in the Sunshine Community!
Our teams are wide ranging in skill and experience levels, and no advanced degree or formal training is necessary to qualify for many positions here at Sunshine. We rely on cooks, lifeguards, janitors as well as direct support professionals working directly with Sunshine individuals. Do you love art, crafting or have a special hobby? We have team members that use their passions and skill sets to bring about more happiness to the individuals we support.
We also have staff that work at the art studio or the coffee shop. Just a few of our skilled positions are for nurses, speech pathologists, behavioral specialists and medical professionals that require licensing. However, regardless of your talents and training, we likely have a place for you here on the Sunshine team—all you need is a drive to help and compassion for people with developmental disabilities.
